BLACK AND WHITE WORKS ON PAPER

Inspired by nature, I explore the metaphysical connections between a specific location and a particular moment in time when the light and ambience of the surroundings touch me. These are remembered moments distilled into an abstract language of colors, shapes, energy, rhythm and mood. I work until the right moment is released and I have achieved the desired affect—sometimes in quick strokes and at other times adding paint and wiping it off, pushing and pulling my materials.
