ACRYLIC WORKS ON PAPER
Inspired by nature, and more specifically plant forms, I spontaneously painted this body of work using large containers of white, black, and gray acrylic paint. Before painting, I meditated on a particular image, a snapshot captured in my mind's eye. Dropping into a meditative state by concentrating on the mental image before I approached the paper allowed me to paint without judgement.
These grayscale works on paper were warm-up exercises done in my first real art studio as I needed to adjust to a larger format. Their size generally being 27" x 36".
